Finally, after 3 years of pre-construction services, we broke ground on this amazing project. The project site is in a federal storm reservoir between the New River Dam and West Wing Mountains. Over the next 16 months, our team will be using hard dig tools to carve the shape of a beautiful new park surrounded by stunning desert and mountain views. The park includes baseball fields, soccer fields, a fishing lake, spectacular playgrounds, a dog park, sports courts, special public art and lots of amenities for all.

The land is owned by the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, managed by the US Army Corp of Engineers and occupied by the City of Peoria. We have gotten past challenges with geology, wildlife (birds and burros!), cultural findings, drainage calculations and a host of other complications to arrive at this point. At, last we can break hard clods and move some dirt!

The GPS grade modeling process is awesome. We are sculpting shapes on the computer and replicating theme onsite with amazing accuracy, without stakes (well, maybe a few.)

Here’s a shout out to our amazing Design-Build Team: DB Partner-Hunter Contracting, designers EPG, Kimley-Horn, Aqua Engineering, Wright Engineering, Holly Street Studios, builder partner Overton Builders, and may topsubconsultants and subcontractors. Come visit our new park next summer!
